This page explains what Counseling in Space collects when you use the site and the practice platform, why, and what you can do about it. We collect what we need to run your prep and nothing to sell.
What we collect
Account details. Your first name, email address and password when you create an account. Passwords are stored as a salted hash, never as the password itself.
Your prep. Your planned exam date or blueprint, the answers you give, how sure you said you were, time spent, flagged and saved questions, and the progress and study plan built from them.
Messages you send us. If you email us, we keep the message and your address so we can reply.
Technical basics. Like any website, our server receives your IP address and browser details when pages load. Our pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which receives the same basics when your browser requests them.
How we use it
To run your account and save your progress; to score your practice and build your insights, review queue and study plan; to reply when you contact us; and to keep the service secure and working.
Who we share it with
We don’t sell your information and we don’t use advertising trackers. We share information only with service providers that host and run the service for us, when the law requires it, or with your permission. Your practice data is never shared with NBCC, employers or licensing boards.
How long we keep it
We keep your account and progress while your account is open. When you delete your account, we delete your account details and progress, except where we must keep a record by law.
Your choices
You can change your name, delete your progress, or delete your account in Settings. You can also ask us for a copy of your information, or to correct or delete it, by writing to email to confirm.
Security
We use encrypted connections, hashed passwords and limited access to protect your information. No system is perfectly secure, so please use a password you don’t use anywhere else.
Children
Counseling in Space is for adults preparing for a professional licensing exam. It isn’t directed to children under 16.
